ABOUT
KIM:
Kim Serafin’s early career has spanned TV, radio, politics, writing
and musical theatre. She currently hosts a weekly radio show on KABC
Radio, where topics range from pop culture and entertainment, to current
events, politics and human-interest stories. Kim has been under contract
to MSNBC as a regular contributor, appeared in a weekly segment on Oxygen
TV, and has also appeared as a commentator on a variety of other networks
including Fox News Channel, CNN, and ESPN. She was a frequent guest
on Politically Incorrect and has also appeared on The Tonight Show.
While attending NYU as an Honors Student, Kim worked as a Deputy Press
Secretary for Mayor Rudy Giuliani in his Mayoral Administration. She
then spent time in California, working as a Deputy Press Secretary to
LA Mayor Richard Riordan.
Kim returned to NY to serve as the Press Secretary for NYC 2000, New
York City’s official Millennium Committee, where she was the spokesperson
for all official millennium events in New York. She then served as Mayor
Giuliani’s Deputy Director of Communications and Spokesperson
for his NY State Senate campaign.
In the fall of 2001, Kim was the spokesperson for the Twin Towers Fund,
the fund founded by Mayor Giuliani to benefit families of the uniformed
service heroes who sacrificed their lives on September 11th. Following
her work on the Twin Towers Fund, Kim served as Press Secretary to Mayor
Riordan on his CA gubernatorial campaign.
Kim has also studied acting, voice and dance with some of the industry’s
most respected teachers and performers. Her acting credits include roles
on sitcoms including Spin City, The Single Guy and Boy Meets World.
She has appeared in musical theatre productions at Equity and summer
stock theatres, as well as in national TV commercials.
Kim is also a published writer, having authored a children’s book
on the California Missions, and, being a longtime vegetarian herself,
a book for teens entitled Everything You Need to Know About being a
Vegetarian. She has written opinion pieces for major publications including
the New York Post and Cosmopolitan.
Kim grew up on Long Island and lives in Los Angeles.
